Halloween Dance Waipahu at August Ahrens

It was a nice day Saturday and I haven't decided yet if it is going to be XP or Vista. Neither are perfect but then neither is Windows 7. Therefore perfection is not what I am seeking. Whichever gets the job, (my job) done, that's it.

"If you're in a bad situation, don't worry it'll change.
If you're in a good situation, don't worry it'll change."

Got to August Ahrens too early but I wanted to witness a start, hit the right buses, and waited until six for someone to open the gates. Mr. Klein came in first then Maurice and then Wayne and Joyce. We all helped bring in some of the stuff, and before seven, I got the first photo at the reception desk.

Mel, Rose, Wayne, Joyce and Maurice, Da Early Birds.

Watched the people come in and they were coming in. I got a chance to see the
Arrowheads and got the photo for the "Good People" photo in Platinum Horseshoe blog. It will be in on November first. Then proceeded to get the preliminary line dancing led by Mel and Rose Calpito.

The line group was much bigger waiting for the Kau Kau.

Had a couple of dances and then got a photo of some of my good friends sitting close by.

Eugene Wakai, Tandy Alconcel, Lady Ailena, Jean Kaneshiro
and Manny Carreon

A couple more dances and then I got the next photo, I am hard of hearing so I didn't get the name of the one that got the $10,000 prize. Didn't step back far enough to get Helen complete. I am still learning.

Helen Toledo, Rose and Mel Calpito, Vicky Visoria, Myrna Saniatan, Senie Canaty, Ed Oligario, Carie Billaber, Rose Manzano and Joyce

Some people are not interested in photos and we must respect. Got a couple more dances and then I got some nice people across the room from me, Some of them looked new.

Standing in back: Manny Tabaquin, Jussel Benito, Ludy Capilli and
Pinoy Agcagili. Seated: Rosemarie Benito, Priscilla Kobashigawa,
Ruby Ho, Naty Fayloga and Thom Shiraishi.

Of course there is always the traditional Ring of Prayer, led by Jim Arrowhead.

This was followed by the onolicious Kau Kau that was on the tables.
Also two big cakes, "Happy Birthday Gilda." She finally made it to forty.

Got a dance and then got the photo of the "Good People" recommended by Maurice for the Moanalua Corridor. The designated ones must have forgot. Apparently everyone was enjoying the Line dancing while waiting for the  Kau Kau line to get smaller.

out in costumes to celebrate Halloween. All had a great time."
