Was notified that Dots had a private function (I shared on Oahu West) so yesterday stayed in town after business and shopping. Ended up at Rumors Big Chill. Haven't been there since Dots started live music. Nothing has changed, the regulars were there mingling and dancing to the same songs. It's okay in a pinch but after dancing to live music the DJ's choices left me flaccid.
It was nice to see some familiar faces and catch up. Saw Reggie strolling out and we waved him down. Told us he was heading to the Cupola for Nuvo! Yikes, I had forgotten that they have a steady gig there on 1st Friday.
We might have set a land speed record for our age group. The screen door missed our Okoles by miles.
They play from 7:30-10:30 PM. Got there before 9 PM. The place was 3/4ths capacity with people dancing to a great band. We were on the dance floor in a flash and basically never left it.
Nuvo made a so-so night fun! I have noted Nuvo for 1st Fridays on my 2012 calendar.
No pics again last night, camera sittin' at home next to my computer. You know what they say, "Last long time dat way."
I charged it and it's in my dance bag for tonight. Hey, 1 out of 3 is .333 average. Good enough for the Majors.
