Wasabi brought the works to Dots Friday!

I knew it was gona be fun hun what w/Doreen's surprise birthday bash and Gary Moore guesting along with other performers.

I high tailed it up to Dots early 'cause I was too excited to clock watch anymore at my digs. Da feet were itching to hit the hard wood after a busy real life "When is this week gona end?" 5 days.

The band was still setting up as Willow chatted a bit with Steve Sakaue Mr. Keys. I was saddened to hear that his wife is not doing well. My prayers to both.

The tables filled up fast as the downbeat approached. Must have had a 100+ people there by 8 PM. By 8:30 they were setting up more tables to accommodate the eventual 150+ in attendance.

There were pupus provided for the early birds. The servers spent the whole night doing wind sprints.

Doreen

Man it would be great to get laid (auto correct won't accept leied) as many times as Doreen. All you could see was a spurt of her red hair erupting from a Kiluaea of flowers. Before they started she doffed them as she announced, "Can not breathe."

Non stop night..... Dancing to great music, a Kanpai (Kampai) toast to Doreen, dance to break music then Doreen's B-day cake ritual. Everyone got cake and Ice cream which was so ono.

After the cake Doreen brought up a young guitarist to sit in. He started with a riff everyone is familiar with. I went,  "Huh, who's gona sing Smoke on the Water?" Milton chimes in, "I dunno that song...." then leather lung screams into the mike doing a great rendition. all that was missing was the long hair, leather and mascara eyes!!!

Gary & Willow

Gary Moore was featured the next set bringing the house down and filling the floor with shake and bake action. Lots of fun banter (e.g Teasing Milton about his rock scream) between that had everyone rolling.

In a blink it was over which sucked. Oh, well next time.

Not sure what the heck is going on at Dots. They gave Bernie's Fridays to someone else for the next 3 months. Will have to do some snooping.




The good news is that Bernie still has Saturday and Wasabi is already booked for Saturday, February 26, 2012.
